Description

Whilst drawing this one I had colouring in mind so I held back on too much black and perhaps some of the extra fine detail that I usually do. I'll be colouring digitally with CS5 and also with colouring pencils.. sometime in the near future.

As usual my favourite pens Staedtler 0.1, 0.5 and a Copic BS

Enjoy colouring Mandalas? Check out my book here: www.amazon.com/The-Mandala-Col… Also available from other Amazon.xx Thx!

60cm x 60cm on bristol board.

Didn't time this one.. but completed over several evenings

Hope you like it :D

wow. wow. wow. Mandalas are really your thing; it obviously comes natural to put shapes together like this. I wanna see this one colored! With all of the consecutive outlines of the center shape it looks very distinct and raised above the rest of the dala. And on the outskirts, in terms of 'absence is just as powerful as presence' you definitely displayed how the lack of detail can be used to create even more of a spectacle. Its a very busy drawing, but in a calm flowing way. Great job all around. I wish I could draw like that. (workin on it)
