Description

These is a fair bit of white space in this mandala. Not sure if this means I haven't finished with it.. or maybe I was more resistant to filling in that darn "white" space :D

My life has been a bit chaotic recently.. my anxiety is through the roof so I'm going to take some theraputic use and colour it in photoshop this afternoon.. You have 1 hour from now to submit your palette suggestions as I'm going to get to it after lunch :D :D judt kidding...

As usual, I'm submitting this b&w version as I know some of you prefer them

Enjoy colouring Mandalas? Check out my book here: www.amazon.com/The-Mandala-Col… Also available from other Amazon.xx Thx!

Hope you like it.. Analysis of what you see is always apprecitated

60cm square bristol with staedler finelines.. hours.. I worked mostly though the night here..

Thanks in advance if you fave =)

I found your work by chance. I was a bit shocked at first by the knives in it but on contemplating realize that it is a useful tool too for cutting away the stuff you don't want in life. I like the white space - you can breathe more easily! It's not congested space, there's room for things, for movement etc. You've focused on hearts and there's a mixture of male and female imagery (the knife, the breasts) that are united together so to me this mandala is about the sexes being at peace with one another. The centre is held by six triangles. six is the number of love (venus) and you have a star when the triangles move toward one another. There's quite a metallicy feel to the picture. Lots of heavy metal here! Yet there's loads of beauty in it too - the symmetry, the accuracy and the love hearts, the pearls, the detail. I like it! The sun's rays surround it and make it feel wholesome, the centre reminds me of boomerangs and the idea that what you give out comes back to you.
