It's not offensive (and just my opinion) but I miss something when I see your mandalas. I'm obsessed with the ornaments (believe me I really like them) but I don't find the real coherency, strength and elegancy in your mandalas. No doubt I have bad taste or I'm just an old style guy, but when I see an ornamental design I always look for exciting details, elegancy, organic coherency and hidden tricks. The (bold or thin) lines you use seems to incidental and the induvidual parts of the mandala sometimes are not connected properly. . Some of your works are interesting like this, I like the central core of this image, and the flowerish blocks. Sorry for my opinion, I didn't want to be rude, just honest. Perhaps tastes are different, so excuse me.
Hiya, thanks for your comments. I appreciate you taking time out to leave your opinions on my work. It makes a nice change to "amazing" etc. Every eye forms it's own beauty, so they say. Could I ask a small favour? I'm very interested in what type of mandala you are referring to. Could you provide a link so I get more of an idea?
To be hones I cannot link any mandala I prefer. My comment is not about the mandalas (I'm not an expert in this issue), it is about ornaments. But I can link an example what I'm looking for in ornaments:
Simply, beautiful. I use some of your mandalas in meditating. I find most mandalas too extravagant in coloring, or lacking complexity. However, your mandalas are satisfyingly intricate. The lack of coloring also assist.
