My drawings might looking impressive at first glance.. but if you look carefully you will see that they are just a build up of several random shapes working from 1.0mm, 0.7mm, 0.5mm, 0.3mm and 0.1mm .. then reflected and rotated... a light box and a compass are used to attain the perfect symmetry.. There, I hope that makes you feel better :D

This is awesome, you managed to achieve a really nice balance between the heavily detailed and the mostly white parts. It gives it a really good sense of depth to it, almost as if there are multiple layers.

I plan to colour this one too... As you may have noticed.. there is a combination of mechanical parts and trees/leaves.. should be interesting in colour? :)

I don't think you over doodle since you create good layers/depth here. I think if you look really close you may be confused a bit, but if you move away from the drawing it seems to flow real nicely. I love the sharp lines you have here and everything fits together nicely.

Thanks. I know what you mean... close up can be a bit confusing.. The real picture is 56cm on a 60cm piece of bristol board. When you stand back a bit.. it all comes together. I plan to colour this one too.. Should be interesting to see how that turns out... might take some time though :D

There is no such thing is over doing this drawing you did here, it's great how you did all of this, you should use color pencils or watercolor markers.
